Our commitment to our community
The Trusts supported by the CK Birla Group engage in a range of activities and institutions, across the fields of healthcare, science & technology, education and art and culture.
Our educational institutions include the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) in Mesra, Modern High School (MHS) and Modern High School International (MHSI) in Kolkata and Rukmani Birla Modern High School in Jaipur.
The group also supports the G.P. Birla Archaeological Astronomical and Scientific Research Institute, the BM Birla Science Centre, the BM Birla Planetarium, the GP Birla Centre and the Nirmala Birla Gallery of Modern Art. The Trust hospitals supported by the group are CMRI (Calcutta Medical Research Institute) and BM Birla Heart Research Centre in Kolkata and Rukmani Birla Hospital in Jaipur.
- Healthcare: The Group supports its trust hospitals, including CMRI, a multi-specialty hospital in Kolkata; BMB, a super-specialty cardiac care facility also in Kolkata; and RBH, a multi-specialty hospital in Jaipur. These hospitals are pioneers in their respective fields and set the benchmark for excellence in hospital care across India.
- Science and Technology: The Group has built R&D facilities, science museums, space museum, planetariums, observatory, seminar halls, conference facilities and exhibition spaces; and India's only dinosaurium and a one of a kind Antarctica experience room in Hyderabad. The Antarctica Experience Room is India's first facility to offer live interactions with scientists in Antarctica. The BM Birla Science Centre is also the first private museum in India to have an association with ISRO.
- Education: The Group has established three schools, a library in Hyderabad, and a college as part of its commitment to education and community development. These institutions provide quality learning environments, fostering knowledge and personal growth. The library in Hyderabad serves as a vital resource for students and the community, while the schools and college are dedicated to empowering the next generation through education and holistic development.
- Art and Culture: A collection of ancient Indian art and artifacts is preserved and showcased to the public in an institution dedicated to arts.
- Heritage preservation:The Group has established cultural heritage preservation centres and an archaeological and cultural institute and supported archaeological excavations.
